Rare tigers, Polar bears under threat and a Freedom Eagle | Newsround

This week’s Your Planet brings both hopeful and concerning news about wildlife. In Thailand’s Kaeng Krachan National Park, a rare Bengal tiger has been spotted raising three cubs, which is great news for this endangered species. Meanwhile, researchers in Canada warn that polar bears in Western Hudson Bay are struggling due to longer summers, which reduce sea ice and make hunting difficult. But there’s also a success story from New Jersey, USA. Freedom, a bald eagle who was rescued from cruel captivity, is now thriving. Once endangered, bald eagles have made a remarkable comeback, helping to preserve other wildlife in the process. These stories highlight the importance of conservation efforts worldwide.
